It is a sad day here at the office as I type out this letter to all my friends and clients, because, I am having to close my Arkansas operations of MobileBeat Entertainment after 15 years of meeting great friends and a lot of fun.

I opened MobileBeat Entertainment back in 1990 with the great leadership of DJ Rick McKim of Hot Springs, and the urging of Mike & Kathy Mullinix of Harmony Grove.  They were instrumental in getting the company started.  I started at “The Landing” in the Holiday Inn in Camden, and my first school was Harmony Grove High School with Paulette Sullivent.  DJ Todd King of Camden (Sound Entertainment) was a great help as well, as we shared music and equipment.  But enough thanks can not be told without mentioning the help of Wade & Dawn Green of Wade Green Advertising in Camden.   They helped promote me with support of bookings, as well as, providing me with incredible banners and magnet signs, and coffee mugs, etc.   Kevin Jackson my partner for a long number of years and was an incredible help and an extremely great friend, and the thanks of James Woods, of Woods Place Restaurant in Camden, as he let Kevin have the time off from work there that he needed to help with dances, and travel time, and the use of the “River Woods.” I also have to thank Gary Terrell and Craig Dale the former owners of Radio Works of Arkansas (Y95, K97, and Magic 104.5), for letting me have the time off from the radio station to due these incredibly fun events. I know there are many people I have missed, and each is greatly appreciated.

As we traveled across the great State of Arkansas, into Louisiana, and Texas, and down to the panhandle of Florida, we made friends everywhere we went, and had a great time entertaining our friends at proms, weddings, rodeos, fraternity parties, homecomings, class reunions, corporate events, and 5th quarters, military balls, birthday parties and all the other events, I so deeply enjoyed and have missed doing for the past 2 years.

I moved from the great State of Arkansas a couple years ago to enjoy the sunshine and paradise of the "Sun Coast" in SW Florida, and left the company operating in the capable hands of DJ Mike Ponder.  Mike operated MobileBeat Entertainment in my absence.  But as time went on, I felt it would be better to shut down the Arkansas operations while MobileBeat Entertainment was still on top and has a great reputation, and to grow my SW Florida operations where I now reside.

Once again, thanks to my previous partners, Kevin Jackson who is now serving our country in the Army National Guard, and has served in Iraq. He was very hard working ,and the best partner one could ask to work with. (Kevin that "rose" you received at the Bald Knob Prom, before you served in Iraq, well it is still right where you left it, in the trailer, along with the silly notes on the business cards, forever a funny part of MBE history)  Melody Martinez also helped out for a short time and was an incredible help as well.

MobileBeat went from a local “club” scene to being rated the #1 DJ for Arkansas Schools and continues to have a great reputation throughout Arkansas, Louisiana and NE Texas.  I thank each and everyone that attended the events that told their friends about us, and had their friends or schools book us for their events.  Although we advertised, word of the mouth of the people who enjoyed our style of music and energy are the ones who grew MobileBeat Entertainment.  I would like to say a big THANK YOU to each of you.

I will miss each of you and being in the schools throughout the tri-states area. I just hope I can have the same success I had in Arkansas to continue here in SW Florida. Thanks to everyone.

Sincerely,

Kevin Cunningham
